- CAir, the connected solution for checking the healthiness of the air was introduced today
The prototype was developed in co-innovation mode with the start-up UpSens
Air pollution is a risk factor to which we must pay attention to protect our health and prevent the onset of illnesses connected to poor air quality. Learning to know this risk, monitoring the quality of the air that we breathe and limiting our exposure to unhealthy environments was the concept around which the partnership was born between Cattolica and UpSens, Trento start-up specialised in sensory design for monitoring the quality of the air. Thanks to the OPEN ITALY co-innovation program and with the support of the technological partner, Fair Connect, we have arrived at the “CAir” prototype: a connected solution which, through sensors capable of analysing the quality of the air, can recognise and signal situations of environmental pollution, contributing to the improvement in the healthiness of the rooms and the well-being of the people.
The solution, presented today in Rome during the final day of the 2019 OPEN ITALY event, anticipates the installation of plug&play indoor and outdoor sensors capable of accurately measuring certain fundamental parameters such as temperature, humidity, CO2 and fine dust particles. When exceeding certain thresholds, the device recommends the best time to air the rooms using a special smart alert, which makes the intervention and ventilation simple and immediate.
