Chairman of the Cattolica Assicurazioni Group.
A graduate in Economics and Commerce from the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, he specialised in Economics at Pembroke College, Oxford University.
Currently Chairman of the Ugo and Olga Levi Foundation of Venice and a member of the Board of Directors of Webuild S.p.A., Credito Fondiario S.p.A. and Genextra S.p.A., he is also a member of the Council for Relations between Italy and the United States (Consiusa) and a member of the Assonime Council.
Deputy General Manager of the Banca Nazionale del Lavoro from 1989 to 1990, he was then appointed CEO, a role he held until 2003. During his career he has held various positions in the finance area of FIAT S.p.A., including Finance Director Fiat Auto and Finance Director of the FIAT Group.
He has been Chairman of the La Biennale Venice Foundation, of Permasteelisa S.p.A. and of the Eurovita Holding S.p.A. insurance group. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of Banco BPM S.p.A. and various companies including Fiera Milano S.p.A., Snam Rete Gas S.p.A. and Elica S.p.A. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Querini Stampalia Foundation in Venice and has been a Senior Advisor to the private equity fund TPG Capital and to Nomura.

Prior to joining Cattolica, he was Chief Actuary at Aviva and Head of Actuarial Reporting at Allianz. He was also involved in issues relating to the implementation within the company of Solvency II and IFRS 17 processes and systems and the issue of effective communication of results. Before assuming his current position, he was appointed Head of the Group Actuarial Function in February 2019. A Member of the Order of Actuaries.

Head of Audit at the Cattolica Assicurazioni Group since April 2021.
A qualified lawyer, he entered the insurance business in 2000 as a claims liquidator for RAS, and a few years later was appointed Head of the Anti-fraud Unit, a position he continued to hold, with additional responsibilities, after Allianz acquired the company’s insurance activities in Italy. In 2010 he was appointed Head of the Centralised Claims Area, and in 2012 Claims Fraud Manager. In 2014 he was appointed Head of Core Business Audit, and in 2017 became Head of Assurance Audit and Deputy Chief Audit Executive at Allianz S.p.A., with Audit responsibility in Core Insurance, Regulatory matters, Finance, IT and Fraud.

She has spent her career at Cattolica Assicurazioni, which she joined in March 2005. After a period in Life Product Development, she specialised in Risk Management, first in Governance and Operational Risks and then in Reporting, Governance and Regulation. In July 2016, she was appointed Head of Life and Pensions Offer Development. Since November 2017, she has been Head of Organisational Governance and Transversal Projects, also supporting the evolution of the governance system. Before assuming her current role, she was also Head of Governance and Organisational Development.

Has been General Manager Markets and Distribution Channels with responsibility for the agency network, Bancassurance and Strategic Marketing and previously held the position of CFO, Investor Relations Officer and head of M&A and Group equity investments, including in his capacity as Deputy General Manager of Cattolica. Within the Generali Group he was a Marine underwriter at the UK Branch and on the staff at General Management, where he was responsible for coordinating the Administration and Finance area. Gained experience of risk financing with the Marsh Group and was a Senior Director at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte, working in Financial Advisory Services for the main Italian insurance and banking groups. Also a Senior Banker at ABN Amro and Managing Director at Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, head of the Financial Institutions Group. Currently a member of ANIA’s Management Board and Executive Committee and a member of the Italian Corporate Governance Committee, made up of the issuers and investors associations (ABI, ANIA, Assonime, Confindustria and Assogestion) as well as the Italian Stock Exchange (Borsa Italiana S.p.A.).

He has managed business innovation and digital transformation programmes throughout his career for leading insurance and bancassurance players in Italy and abroad. Before assuming his current position, he was appointed Head of Business Development & Partnership of the Cattolica Assicurazioni Group in December 2017. After management experience in Munich for Allianz Investment Management and Allianz Reinsurance, he became Deputy Global Head of Asset-Liability Management and Strategic Asset Allocation for the Company. Has written several publications and speaks at international events.

Since December 2020 he is also responsible for Claims and for Group Complaints and Privacy.
Samuele Marconcini worked as a teacher and university lecturer before becoming a consultant and then a Director in the areas of Organisation and Human Resources, holding increasingly important and responsible roles with Italian and international companies. During his career, he has worked on change management and corporate reorganisation projects, achieving sustainable long-term transformation.
Within the Cattolica Group, he is also Chief Executive Officer of Cattolica Services S.c.p.a. since April 2020.

Subsequently Director of the Non-Motor Non-Life business of Unipolsai and Chief Executive Officer of Siat. Currently a member of the BoD of R.I.N.A. (Italian Naval Register).

After experience as a researcher in mathematical analysis at the University of Trieste, he moved closer to the insurance sector, obtaining a master’s degree in Insurance and Risk Management at the MIB Trieste School of Management before working at Assicurazioni Generali and Fineco Vita. Subsequently an analyst at various financial institutions – Banca Leonardo, Credit Agricole and Kepler Cheuvreux – where he held positions of increasing responsibility. Joined the CFO area of the Cattolica Group in 2015, first as Head of Group Management, Planning and Capital Management Control and then as Investor Relations Officer. A CFA Charterholder since 2004.

Developed his career at Cattolica Assicurazioni, which he joined in October 2007, after experience at Coldiretti in the Delegation for Relations with EU Institutions in Brussels. After more than seven years at the Special Projects Office, he also worked on the investigation and assessment of transactions with related parties at Consob, in the Related Party Transactions Monitoring Unit. Head of the Group Secretariat from February 2015 to August 2017, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. Before his current role, he was an officer for Extraordinary Corporate Transactions until November 2019, when he was appointed Head of Secretariat and Corporate Requirements.

Worked as New York correspondent for ANSA between 1997 and 2000, also collaborating with Adnkronos, Sole 24 Ore, Il Tempo, Liberal and L’Espresso, and founded NOVA - Associazione Italiana MBA in 1999 with other students at Columbia University. Joined H3G as a business communicator in 2001. Subsequently joined Finmeccanica’s press office, before becoming Director of External Relations at Ansaldo STS and lastly Head of International Media and Trade Press, again at Finmeccanica. Before joining Cattolica he was also Head of Media Relations at Enel, Head of the Press Office at TIM and a partner at Comin & Partners from 2015 to 2018.

A Cavaliere dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana, he has served on various boards of directors during his career, including VEGa S.C.A.R.L. and Veneto Sviluppo S.p.A. and as General Director of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo. Already a member of ministerially appointed working groups on the innovation and digitalisation of the public administration, during his career, which began at the Ministry of the Interior and the Prime Minister's Office, he has served as Director of Avepa, an operating entity for the payment of aid, premiums and contributions – to the economic and non-economic sector – of the Veneto Region. Before joining Cattolica, he also held the position of Implementing Party for the management of the Storm Adrian emergency on behalf of the Delegated Government Commissioner. After a period as a management consultant, he became Business and Product Development Manager at Pioneer Investments, where he was responsible for launching new asset management products and services for the Italian market. He then joined Banca Intesa as Head of the Asset Management and Bancassurance offer, before moving to Banco Popolare as Head of Retail Marketing. He joined the BNP Paribas Group in 2007, first as Head of Retail Marketing for the Individuals Segment and then as Head of Sales for Italy at BNP Paribas Cardif. Between October 2014 and December 2017, he was Deputy CEO of UBI Pramerica SGR. Before assuming his current position, he was appointed Head of Bancassurance Business at the Cattolica Assicurazioni Group in December 2017. Within the Group, he is also Vice-Chairman of Lombarda Vita and Chief Executive Officer of the companies Vera Vita, Vera Assicurazioni, Vera Protezione, BCC Vita and BCC Assicurazioni.

In July 2019, he began his experience as an executive at BAP Spa, a Life company of the UBI Banca Group, before being appointed General Manager of UBI Sicura Spa, an Agency Company of the UBI Group, a few months later.

After a period as Managing Director of Darta Saving Life Assurance, an Irish company in the Allianz Group, he joined the Helvetia Italia Group, first as Head of Life Development and then as Life General Manager. He joined the Cattolica Assicurazioni Group in October 2016 as Deputy Director of Life and Pensions. Before assuming his current role he was appointed Head of the Group Compliance Function in March 2019.

After a brief period as a consultant, he pursued his career within the Generali Group, where he gained more than ten years’ of international experience in companies operating in Italy and abroad and in coordination roles at holding company level. From 2004 to 2010, he held increasingly responsible roles in the marketing area of Genertel, eventually becoming Head of Marketing and Communication. Since mid-2010, his career has continued at the Generali Group holding company, where he is responsible for coordinating the international “Canalgrande” and “Customer as an Asset” programmes, which are designed to strengthen the central position of the customer and the Group’s direct distribution capacity. In 2011 and 2012, he relocated to Brazil as Director of Marketing and New Channels for Generali Brasil Seguros. On his return to Italy in 2013, he was appointed Business Performance Manager for the LATAM area and subsequently Head of Non-Motor at Global P&C Retail, focusing on the Group’s technical excellence programme, and Head of Connected Insurance Products Roll Out, tasked with strengthening the Group’s positioning in connected products. He joined the Cattolica Group in September 2017 as Director of Innovative Projects and, before assuming his current role, was appointed Director of Insurance Analytics & Business Architecture in February 2018. A member of the Board of Directors of IMA Italia Assistance and IMA Servizi since March 2019 and a member of the Board of Directors of IMA Care since September 2020.

He has been Subject Expert in Actuarial Life Insurance at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and he is a Member of the Order of Actuaries.

Since December 2020, Marco Lamola has been Deputy General Manager and Sales Director of the Cattolica Assicurazioni Group with responsibility for the agency network.
He began his career in the Generali Group sales network and, while still very young, gained management experience at leading insurance companies, holding increasingly responsible roles and moving up through all levels of the sales network. He worked for AXA Assicurazioni as a Department Director and a Sales Director, successfully focusing on building networks in both the Life and Non-Life businesses. He then joined Allianz as a sales manager, taking part in the innovative process of digitising the sales channel, first as the head of the Subalpina network and then of RAS, and helping to integrate the German company’s networks, of which he was subsequently appointed manager. During his career, he has worked on projects related to digital and modular insurance products. He joined Cattolica Assicurazioni in 2015 as Distribution and Marketing Director. He has previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cattolica Previdenza and Servizi Consulenziali and as a Director of TUA Assicurazioni. He is currently a General Advisor to the ANIA-Consumatori Forum and Chairman of the Distribution Commission.
